“Absolute best in the genre”

A review has been written on www.metal-temple.com of our performance at Wasteland in Gävle March 20 this year. It was a while ago, but it summarizes quite well the praise we have received for the last gigs this spring and summer. “A little later, just after enough beers to be ready to rock GASOLINE QUEEN hit the stage and there’s one thing I can’t get about this style. Bands with some originality and real talent seem to be scary for the business. It is really a sacrilege that bands like CRAZY LIXX and CRASH DIET are pushed in the media as hard as they can and GASOLINE QUEEN have to struggle against the stream. Now this type of music isn’t my all-time favorite but GASOLINE QUEEN really appeal to me and I dare to say they’re one of the absolute best in the genre. They have it all, good songs, a great attitude and are extremely fun to watch. Even if the stage at Wasteland didn’t allow much movement GASOLINE QUEEN did all to amuse and they really managed to get that stage boiling. Sure, to reach the crowd and sort of hang out is easy but to do some real movements that both looks cool and brought even more life to the performance is something rarely seen at Wasteland. They are an unusual package in the genre and I can’t think of anything I want to change, all to do now is just to watch them grow. A lot of the things around this type of bands belong to image and attitude but GASOLINE QUEEN has a lot more, they are over all high-class. Over all, it was a really successful release party but next time they need to hire someone to deal with the merchandise. Most people are shopping after the gig and then it’s not such a bright idea to have the T-shirts neatly packed behind a pile of equipment in the dressing room.”

Going to Club Helter Skelter

Hello! It’s now the last chance for you feebleminded one’s to decide if you want to join the bus to see us live at Club Helter Skelter in Stockholm. The bus departs from Söderhamns travel center 17:00 if you choose to follow. The trip costs 300 Swedish crowns, to hell and back, and it includes the entry to the club. No one remembers a coward.

We even call for a photographer who was at our gig at Wasteland in Gävle who possible have any pictures from the gig to share. You can contact us if you have any pictures from that night at contact@gasolinequeen.com.

Good morning! Now that the mist has slowly lightened up in front of our eyes, we would like to thank each one for a magnificent gig yesterday at Wasteland in Gävle. We hope that you had it as good as we had it on stage. This was a perfect kickoff for what is about to come next.

On Wednesday, March 25, we pack our wigs and makeup to Stockholm and to Club Helter Skelter. This will be a journey that will be unforgettable in many ways. It is not yet too late to apply your interest for the bus-trip. Interview in the local newspaper

Well! In today’s Ljusdals Posten (local newspaper) you can find an interview with us about our release. This interview is of course only written in Swedish. Hi! Tomorrow it’s time to put your make up on and finally get dressed like Ace Frehley, because Gasoline Queen is coming to town and we’ll be like a steamroller forced-feed with steroids on stage. The first in a series of gigs this spring will be at Wasteland in Gävle and a self-funded EP called “Gas for the under class” will be available for sale on every gig from now on. You will also be able to purchase brand new t-shirts at the gigs. So come and play some air guitar and swig a beer or two with us tomorrow. For you who can’t join us, we will upload some pictures from the gig and in an optimistic manner they will be available on Saturday, the day after. See ya tomorrow at Wasteland.

Rehearsal and approved

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend and that you got home before you went to sleep. The cover of our forthcoming EP “Gas for the under class” has finally been approved by the printer. From now on we expect that it will take a few days in March before we have the EP in our hands. We promise you that you will not go unnoticed when the record has been released.

On March 20, it is time for us to master the stage at Wasteland in Gävle and this gig will be the starting shot of many upcoming gigs in spring, so yesterday we decided to rehearsal a first time in a long time. It all went well and it was great to finally do what you’re supposed to do. This week we expect more gigs to be booked and of course we will notify you when and where when it is done. Finally, we give you two pictures from the rehearsal yesterday.

Two new gigs added

You, who visit us daily, have certainly noticed that we have been booked for two new gigs. The first and closest gig at the moment is at Wasteland in Gävle March 20. The second gig is set on the last April at Tranan in Bollnäs. To get a better eye on what’s up of where and when you can always visit the Gig Dates page. About the printing we’re still standing at the same platform as we last mentioned something about this matter. Have patience.
