Cheers to Pure Mania

We want to draw attention to Mike Spiders guest appearance with the legendary punk-rock band Pure Mania at Rockweekend this year by show you a video clip. He was with them on the song called Warzone, as we also did a cover on 2007 but never got official. Pure Mania has always been a great inspiration to us the whole time we have been a band. Not only because they made first-class songs but also because they were local heroes in Söderhamn.

About Pure Mania:
Pure Mania was formed in Ljusne/Bollnäs, Sweden by guitarist and singer Zpennare and bass player and singer Engan together with Aspen on drums in January -85. After only three weeks Aspenfeldt quitted the band and another guy called “Mange” took his place. Late -86 the drummer StÃ¥hl joined in. The band released three singles and three LP..s on their own label PM-records during the late 80..s, then they got signed to Rainbow-music from Solna, Stockholm. Pure Mania released their first single on Rainbow in -90 quickly followed by the CD/LP “Gasoline Queen” -91.Other releases on Rainbow is “Alibaba Baby” CD-93 and “Can’t you see” CD -95 + a Roxette-cover CD..single in -94/95 (Harleys and Indians). They’ve done lots of gigs since the start. Mostly in Sweden but also a bunch in Norway and Denmark too. Pure Mania has played together with bands like “the Nomads”,”U.K Subs” and “Sky High” to mention some of them. 1993 Pure Mania was nominated for the Zeppelin-awards in Stockhom in the cathegory “Best Rock band of the year”. Except for Zpennare who..s been in Mania since the start in -85 some other guitarists also played in the band when they got tired of being a three-piece band. In the early years Johnny Puma played rythm-guitar, Benke Holmberg was in the lineup during the release of Alibaba Baby and he gave the band a really heavy sound.
